Deadlines; we all have them, sometimes we hate them. There’s
always that finishing touch, or the last piece, but time’s up, and they want it
now. On the other hand, deadlines move us to action. We can’t put it off till
tomorrow, we have to do it today. Burn the midnight
oil, work till the wee hours of the morning. We hand it in, and go home and
sleep for a good 14 hours. It’s done, and that’s all that matters. I mean I
hope they liked it. I hope it turned out alright. I’ll ask them. They smile.
“Good job”, they say. And now I really am safe and clear. It’s done, the boss
liked it, and next time won’t be nearly as stressful.
