“List of 15-20 Seasonal
Changes in Our Area”

1.) Leaves blow in the wind
like summer fog.
2.) We all bundle up like
bears.
3.) Everyone is in such a
hurry, but half asleep.
4.) Reds and yellows
dominate, not only leaves, but lights and clothes.
5.) Darkness creeps in early,
and we sleepily follow its lead.
6.) Formal holidays become
the focus of our fun.
7.) The smell of cold smoke
is everywhere.
8.) People don’t sleep as
well, and worry what they eat more.
9.) The only birds I hear
calling are crows.
10.) Everyone pushes, like
the last lap of a race.
“I only made it to 10.”
“You only needed 10.”
