We all think we are generous,
that we give enough, but there is so much room for debate. I give, but not what
they want. I give, but it has no effect. I take, and what I take is missed.
In nature giving and taking
happen so constantly, so gradually, the fluid, the grace, the curve which
always rolls to and fro, cooling, then exposing to the warm sun, then rolling
over once again.
But some take and, cut, they
stop, they leave.
Others come from far away and
they give, but, they do not understand you, how can you trust them.
What was natural is
controlled by cold unfeeling hands, ruled by a mind far away who instructs
without ever seeing the hand, or knowing…
We give much, and we take
much away, and a great system must be built to restore what we have made, but
it is still better than natural, than nature.
The few tell the many and
they dance together in harmony, but their feet dig into the earth with each
step, until their bones lie in those graves.
